Top two sides in NAPIT Sunday League both seal victories

The top two in NAPIT Division One, Hasland Devonshire and Hepthorne Lane, both won on Sunday.

Leaders Devonshire travelled to Deer Park to take on bottom side Wingerworth BMB who put up a brave fight before eventually losing 3-1, the winning goals being scored by Nico De Girolamo, Danny Mason and Tom Poole.

Lane’s victory came against Doe Lea, whom they just edged past in 3-2 thriller, with Kurtis Morley, Matt Edinboro and Josh Barrow scoring for Lane.

Clowne Wanderers Reserves took on New Whitt in Division Two, beating them by five goals to two, three of them scored by Matt Robson and leapfrogged them into second place in the division as a result.

At the other end of the table bottom side Crispin Casuals recorded only their second victory of the season with a 4-0 win over local rivals Matlock Town Wanderers.

The game between West End Killamarsh and Dronfield Woodhouse was a much more closely contested affair with the former shading it 3-2.

In Division Three Oaks FC became only the fourth side to beat runaway leaders Renishaw MW this season. as they won a close game 4-3.

Dean Duqeman twice, Josh Thomas and Liam Roberts were the scorers.

Ark Tavern remain in the division’s wooden spoon position following their narrow 3-2 defeat by AFC North Wingfield for whom Matt Towndrow scored twice.

New Inn Tupton beat Pilsley Community 2-0, whilst Red Lion Whitt Moor slipped to a 3-0 defeat against Hollingwood Athletic.

NAPIT Four has new leaders as Crown Killamarsh moved above Brampton Rovers who were in cup action.

They lead on goal difference as goals from Jack Hackford who scored twice and Simon Whitehouse beat Spartans 3-0.

Brampton Oaks Sports beat Butchers Arms by the same score.

Craig Buchanon led the way for Brimington Utd Shoes scoring a treble as his side beat Old Whittington MW 7-2.

Julian Liddle, Andrew Mosley, Mark Mowbray and Chris Smith completed the scoring for Shoes.

Renishaw Rangers continued to power their way to the Division Five title with a 13th consecutive win - 5-1 against Gardeners Clay Cross.

In Division Six, Whitecotes Wanderers returned to the top of following an emphatic 8-2 win at Palterton Sporting Club.

In a Hasland Derby, Hasland WMC beat Hasland Communiy Eagles 5-0.

Matt Bower hit a treble, with Andy Laming and Marc Rawson completing the rout.
