Hasland FC added The Dey and Co Alma Cup to their Derbyshire Senior Sunday Cup win and First Division title after a 3-1 win over Brampton Rovers.
Brampton pushed the treble chasers all the way in this enthralling cup final held at the Proact Stadium.
After a goalless first half it was Hasland who took the lead through Mark Houghton’s left- footed volley.
Brampton weren’t going to take it lying down and came right back into the game with a wonder goal from Josh Aitken from 25 yard out levelling the scores.
The game went into extra time and it was Hasland who took the lead through live wire Lee Clay’s thunderous header.
Rovers went agonisingly close to equalising once more when Scott Martin saw his goalbound drive blocked in the second period of extra time. It proved a costly miss as Ant Lynham wrapped the final up for Hasland with a clinical finish in the final minutes.
The Alma cup was presented to Hasland captain Luke Beatson by 98-year-old Derbyshire FA president Mr Tom Brocklehurst.
