Decisive late goals have become something of a regular occurrence for Staveley Miners Welfare in recent weeks.
They were denied a win at Handsworth Parramore and a point at home to Maltby Main after conceding late goals.
But after late heartaches it was their turn to feel unrivalled elation at home to Barton Town Old Boys last night.
Ellis Wall popped up with a 90th-minute winner for Staveley on Wednesday for a 3-2 victory in the NCEL Premier.
Staveley twice led through Kurtis Morley and Lee Whittington but were pegged back on both occasions by Barton.
And Wall’s late heroics brought a first win in three for Staveley, in fifth, against seventh-placed Barton.
