Staveley Miners Welfare hoping for a return to action at Bottesford

For the second weekend running, Staveley’s scheduled NCEL Premier game fell victim of the weather.

Liversedge were the scheduled opponents but a waterlogged pitch meant another week without a league fixture.

James Colliver’s Staveley side have won their previous five games but haven’t been in action since November 1.

They will be hopeful Wednesday night’s game against Bottesford Town in the third round of the League Cup survives the recent downpours.

And, after that, a return to league action is scheduled on Saturday when they host Albion Sports at Inkersall Road (3pm kick off).
