Staveley Miners Welfare extend winning run at Armthorpe Welfare


Staveley Miners Welfare extended their winning run to three games on Tuesday night with a 4-0 win at Armthorpe Welfare.

Adam Scott put the Trojans ahead on nine minutes against the side second-from-bottom in the Toolstations Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

Second half goals from Jamie Brown, Steve Carty and a second for Scott on the stroke of 90 minutes completed the rout to move Staveley up to sixth place.

Brett Marshall’s side travel to mid-table Rainworth Miners Welfare on Saturday (January 23) who have won their last two, scoring ten goals in the process.
