Chesterfield are understood to have agreed a deal with Hibernian striker Eoin Doyle.
The 25-year-old is out of contract in the summer and is believed to have signed a two year deal with the League Two club.
Doyle played under current Spireites chief Paul Cook during his time at Sligo Rovers, where he scored 29 goals in 84 games.
He joined Hibs in December 2011 at a time when he was attracting interest from Ipswich Town and fellow Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen.
Meanwhile Chesterfield have recalled Scott Boden from his loan spell with Alfreton Town.
The 23-year-old made 14 appearances for the Reds including seven from the bench and netted three goals - the pick of which was a last gasp winner in the 3-2 home win over Gateshead.
