The striker returned to Chesterfield last week following a loan spell at League Two side Stevenage, where he scored six goals in 16 games.

Two of those goals came against Orient in a 2-2 draw on January 2 but he has failed to nail down the starting place he craved at the Proact.

Spireites boss Danny Wilson couldn’t guarantee the 23-year-old first team football and has listened to offers for the former Ivory Coast U20s international.

Now Gnanduillet’s days at Chesterfield look to be short with Orient leading the chase for his signature, despite parting ways with head coach Ian Hendon on Monday.
