Chesterfield were frustrated by fellow strugglers Blackpool in a basement battle at the Proact that finished 1-1.
Spireites dominated possession for large parts but were unable to find a winner, even when the visitors were reduced to 10 men late on.
The visitors took the lead in the second half through Brad Potts’ deflected shot.
But four minutes later substitute Jay O’Shea rifled a spectacular effort into the top corner from distance.
