Town will now host Boldmere St Michaels on October 31 after edging past Ingles.

The game was less than a minute old when they took the lead via a cross from the left which man of the match Jacob France squeezed home from a tight angle.

It was all out attack from Shirebrook as Nathan Jessop, Grant Mitchell, Luke Manlove and France all had chances to extend the Shirebrook lead - but Ingles managed to weather the storm and soon started to get on top.

And they looked like they had been handed a way back into the game in the 23rd minute when they were awarded a penalty, but Michael Ball got down to his left and saved McCourt's effort.

However, the joy didn’t last long as Ingles were level in the 27th minute when Daniel Tuck levelled the scores.

Ingles almost took the lead when Mitch Woodbine hit the post but that was the closest either team came to breaking the deadlock.

Both teams scored their first four penalties with Jessop, Kieran Ordidge, Ryan Bates and Joe Harris netting for Shirebrook.

Shirebrook were handed the advantage when Ball saved, however Josh Turner also saw his penalty saved.

Into sudden death and Ingles smashed the crossbar before France made no mistake to send Shirebrook into the first round of the FA Vase.

Shirebrook are back at Langwith Road on Saturday when Borrowash Victoria are the visitors (KO 3pm).

Last night they were in action at West Bridgford.
