John Pemberton has revealed he had a meeting with Chris Wilder about the possibility of bringing in players from Sheffield United.

The pair played together at Bramall Lane under Dave Bassett in the early 90s and met during a recent United under-23 game at the Proact Stadium.
"He gave me a list of what would be available,” said Pemberton.
"Chrissy was great, he was very supportive.

Hide Ad"I know him well, I played with him for years, so we go back a long time but he has not got a massive squad himself.
"What I don't want to do is bring too many of other people's youngsters in because then we are back down the same channel where they are inexperienced and what I don't want to do is guarantee them going straight in the team because we are in a relegation fight.”
