But Martin Allen was hopeful of having all his players involved in this morning’s first tream training.

Two of his right-backs have recently been struggling, but appear to be nearing fitness.

“Bradley Barry is training this morning (Monday) with the first team, Drew Talbot is now very close to training with the first team,” Allen told the Derbyshire Times.

“One I’ve missed recently, a genuine mistake of mine, is Brad Nicholson, our young left-back.

“He’s had a minor fracture in his hand so hasn’t really been able to do anything competitive, it’s still in plaster.

“We’re waiting for him.”

Two players came out of the trip to Nuneaton with injuries, but according to Allen neither were of a serious nature.

“We got lots of rough and tumble on Saturday, but hopefully come Tuesday morning we’ll have everyone training back with us.”
