Chesterfield’s loan goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons has been recalled by his parent club Notts County – just a week after joining the Spireites.

The 25-year-old had signed on loan until the end of the campaign but he has been summoned back to Meadow Lane after an injury to the Magpies’ first choice stopper Sam Slocombe.
He is now expected to start for Notts at Dagenham in the National League tomorrow.
John Pemberton named Fitzsimons among his substitutes for last Saturday’s game at Eastleigh.
