Non-league round-up: South Normanton set for Graham Street Prims clash


A waterlogged pitch dashed South Normanton Athletic’s hopes of a return to action against Ashby Ivanhoe on Saturday.

The Shiners won their last two games - back on December 6 and 10 - and will be looking to build momentum to climb up the table.

South Normanton are scheduled to play Graham Street Prims on Saturday in an EMCL Premier Division match (3pm kick off).

Likewise, Dronfield Town will hope for a return to action this week after a weather-affected festive season.

They would have hoped to begin a congested January with a home match against Worsbrough Bridge Athletic in Wednesday night.

And have a scheduled home match at Stonelow against second-placed Clipstone on Saturday (3pm kick off) in NCEL Division One.

Clay Cross Town once again had a blank weekend after their fixture at Welbeck Welfare was cancelled due to a waterlogged ground.

They still remain top of the CMFL North Division table going into 2015 and hope to consolidate that position when the entertain Wakefield based, Kinsley Boys at Mill Lane this Saturday (3pm kick off).

Glapwell will host Ollerton Town this Saturday in the CMFL North Division. Glapwell sit one point and one place behind Ollerton in the table but have four games in hand (2pm kick off).
