Staveley finished ninth in the North Division of the Central Midlands League, but will be led by a new management team next season.

After a successful two seasons guiding the reserve side to a Central Midland League Reserves Division promotion and League Cup double in 2016-2017 and then consolidation last season, the management team of Lee Cook and Phil Greaves are leaving.

A club spokesman said they were moving on “with our thanks for their fantastic achievements and very best wishes for the future.”

The under-21 management team of Joe Tomlinson and Mark Barnard will take over the reigns next season.

The club, which is appealing for new players and teams wanting to play pre-season friendlies, added: “A very commendable first season at Step 7.

“Next season we’re looking for our new management team to take on the great work achieved to date.”

Elsewhere in the CML North Division, Dronfield Town Reserves, who were 15th, are also reflecting on a productive season after struggling earlier in the campaign.

They finished in form, winning five and drawing one of their final six matches — giving several under-19s their first taste of Step 7 football.
