Two second-half trademark Neil Grayson headers were enough for Glapwell to record three points as they edged out a resolute Phoenix FC side 4-3 at Hall Corner.
Glapwell went in front on five minutes when Daniel Keenan’s free-kick flew into the corner.
The visitors levelled on 12 minutes, though, when a free-kick from the right was headed home by Rob Gorman.
The game was soon turned on its head when the ball was played in to James Lawton who got to the ball before Ryan Hopkins and the ball crept in despite the best efforts of Josh Clayton.
Glapwell were level before the break when another Keenan free-kick flew in.
Grayson put Glapwell in front on 49 minutes, when he headed home from 12 yards.
However, the lead lasted barely a minute as James Bowden smashed home an unstoppable effort from 25 yards to pull the visitors level.
The visitors were reduced to ten men on 74 minutes when Steve McDonnell was shown a straight red card and Glapwell proceeded to win the game with five minutes remaining when Lee Naughton’s free-kick from the left was headed home by Grayson again.
