Alfreton Town have unveiled their sixth new signing of summer with defender Cliff Moyo signing a one-year deal after impressing in pre-season games.
Moyo, 22, is the proud holder of 21 EnglandU18s caps and has recently graduated from Staffordshire University after taking a three-year break from the game to do Sports Studies.
Moyo is six-foot tall and a right-back, but is versatile and can play anywhere along the back line.
He began playing aged just 15 with Stone Dominoes and was then chosen for the Staffordshire County FA side where his efforts were rewarded by England call ups and a contract with Barrow. Whilst with the Bluebirds, Moyo had loans spells with Northwich Victoria and Droylsden.
After going back to University, Cliff played with Witton Albion, Trafford and Nantwich Town.
Reds manager Nicky Law is delighted with the signing, saying: “Cliff is just what we are looking for. He fits the bill again. He is a very good player, versatile, a good athlete and of a good size.”
