Ashley Whitt hit a hat-trick as South Normanton Athletic crushed Aylestone Park 7-2.
The emphatic win, which saw Whitt hit his 28th goal of the season, takes the Shiners to 60 points and leaves them fifth in the table.
South Normanton had early let off when Lamar Parks hit the post from a free kick on three minutes.
Four minutes the home side hit the front when Whitt fired home after Luke Crosby’s cross.
It was 2-0 two minutes later when Ash Whitt capitalised on a goalkeeping error.
Aylestone came back in to the game when Ryan Calver hammered home from long range.
And Ayleston made it 2-2 within a minute after Tom Clary’s shot left Ste Smith with no chance.
But it was a one way show in the second half as Ant Fay restored South Normanton’s lead after a good cross from Ant Fay.
South Normanton wrapped the game up on 79 minutes as the floodgates opened when Ash Whitt completed his hat-trick.
Super sub Adam Gillott came on in the 80th minute and,with his second touch, scored Normanton’s fifth goal from nine yards.
Adam Gillott converted Luke Crosby’s cross on 84 minutes, before he made it 6-2 on 90 minutes.
There was still time to make it 7-2 when Tom Betterdige scored in the 92 minutes.
