League Two today: Wycombe top after win at Barnet, Portsmouth beat Plymouth, Carlisle’s eight goal thriller with Cambridge

Wycombe Wanderers are top of League One on goal difference, thanks to their 2-0 at Barnet.

They’re one of five teams with a 100 per cent record after two games in the division.

Garry Thompson got both goals for Wycombe, one of them a 90th minute penalty.

Second placed Leyton Orient won 3-1 at Dagenham and Redbridge.

Paul McCallum opened the scoring on 18 minutes, and Lloyd James netted from the spot to make it 2-0 at the break.

Dean Cox put Orient in full control in the second half, and Jamie Cureton grabbed a consolation in the final minute for the hosts.

Portsmouth are third after beating Plymouth 2-1, both of Pompey’s goals coming from the penalty spot.

Matt Tubbs scored the first for Portsmouth, and Gary Roberts the second in the latter stages.

Gregg Wylde hit the net to make things more interesting with less than two minutes to go, but Portsmouth held on to win.

Carlisle and Cambridge shared the spoils after an eight-goal thriller.

Barry Corr put Cambridge ahead early on, and George Taft’s 21st minute strike made it 2-0.

But Jabo Ibehre found the net for Carlisle twice in two minutes to level.

A minute later Corr’s second gave Cambridge the half-time lead.

Within five minutes of the restart it was 3-3, Charlie Wyke on target for the home side, but back came Cambridge through Luke Berry before the hour mark.

Ibehre and Carlisle weren’t to be denied however, his hat-trick ensuring a 4-4 draw.
