Staveley Miners Welfare made it a November to remember with four wins from four games to stretch their winning streak to eight in all competitions.

A Jahmal Smith goal four minutes from time at Cleethorpes Town maintained Staveley’s 100 per cent record in November and furthered the gap between themselves and sixth-placed Barton Town Old Boys to six points.

In a game that swung one way then the next Staveley new boy James Kay wiped out Marc Cooper’s opener before Craig Fisher gave the visitors the lead going in to half-time in North East Lincolnshire.

Cooper pulled Cleethorpes level with his second of the game shortly after the interval before Smith broke the hosts’ hearts with his sixth of the season and what proved to be the winner in the 86th minute.

Staveley are scheduled to host Armthorpe Welfare in the NCEL Premier Division on Wednesday (December 3) night at Ilkersall Road.
