As a female participating club, in the past it has been difficult to gain recognition and sponsorship.

Businesses have put their money into male football teams instead.

However, this season Chesterfield Ladies Football Club have been acknowledged and recognised and as a result of this sponsorships have been flooding in.

Just recently Co-op provided every single player, from the under-12s to the first team with new club jackets.

Gestures like this have benefitted us as a club greatly.

Not only does every player look and feel the part, but it presents the club with a professional image.

Players now turn up to training and every game wearing the jackets that make them look more recognisable and it has allowed us to increasingly promote women’s football.

However, it’s not only Co-op we would like to thank for sponsoring the club this season. Other sponsors have provided us with new kits and equipment.

Money has been donated which has helped with CRB checks and training costs.

This in turn has assisted with the club’s continued development.

Specialgratitude must go to our other sponsors, namely McDonalds (878) at Alma Leisure Park, Bolsover Rotary Club, One Stop, Foundation Derbyshire, Mansfield Building Society, County Councillors, Football Foundation Grow the Game, PM Law and Rinus Roofing.
