Goalkeeper Luke Coddington was stretchered off with a serious knee injury against Yeovil Town in December and ruled out for the rest of the season.

Unfortunately the 24-year-old, who had the number one jersey at the time, suffered a setback in his recovery, according to Pemberton, and had to go and see a specialist.

Pemberton, who said there is no timeframe for when Coddington might return, told the DT: "Coddington had a setback and he had to go back and see a specialist with his. He was coming back alright and I think he slipped and tweaked it."

But there is positive news for defender Maguire, 23, who was stretchered off with a knee injury against Solihull Moors on Boxing Day.

"Laurence is coming on alright,” Pemberton said. “He hopefully could be back in training in pre-season. That's what his target was from my chats with him and speaking to the medical department."

Full-back Matt Tootle, 29, on loan from Notts County until the end of the season, has been back in training for around a month after recovering from an ankle injury and is working his way back up to full sharpness.

Pemberton confirmed that midfielder Sam Wedgbury, 31, who has not featured since the defeat to Notts County on February 1, is not injured but he is still part of his plans.
