It's business as usual for Sunday league champions Britannia
Although they have played two games more than most of their opponents, you would not bet against Britannia repeating last season’s fantastic success. New Inn Newton were their latest opponents and despite battling bravely, they were undone by goals from Tom Poole, who scored twice, and Brett Turner as they lost 3-1.
Elsewhere, Hollingwood Athletic’s good recent form continued with a 5-2 victory over Creswell Black Diamond that moved them up to second place. Two goals each from Adam McTighe and Carl White, plus a fifth from Dale Beach, sealed the points.

As the Second Division table begins to take shape, Old Whittington MW are in pole position, ahead of Dronfield Victoria, whom they lead on goal difference after a 5-2 victory over Pilsley Community. Bradley Nunn scored twice, with his brother Elliott Nunn, Steven Mansell and Curtis Burchall also finding the net.
Victoria faced a tricky encounter with Clowne Wanderers Reserves and just shaded the game 2-1 thanks to goals from Kieran Loftus and Eric O’Connor, while
Crown Killamarsh also won 2-1, beating New Inn Tupton. The game between Brampton Rovers and Renishaw Rangers Old Boys ended in a goalless draw.
