Hide AdDenton, who scored eight goals in 27 appearances last season, regained his confidence under John Pemberton and finished with four in his last five games.
He linked up well with Nathan Tyson, who signed for Town on Monday, towards the end of the campaign and they will be aiming to carry on where they left off when the new season starts on October 3.
"I'm delighted to get it all done and I'm ready to go now,” Denton said.
"I've probably played the best football of my career so far here. I'm really enjoying it and my family enjoy coming to watch games so it was a no-brainer to stay."

Hide AdPemberton, who is set to be confirmed as manager, said: "He's one of the best in our league at what he does. His goalscoring record is good and he gives us a good focal point. I wouldn't want to play against him."
In other news, Chesterfield say the National League has recommended that clubs do not sell season tickets due to the current uncertainty and the Spireites are “currently considering their options.”
In a statement, chairman Mike Goodwin, said: “I can assure those who purchased season tickets last season that they will receive priority before tickets are put on general sale.”
