Fondop joined the Spireites in August after leaving the Red Dragons and so far he has scored 11 goals in all competitions for the Blues.

Pemberton has previously made comparisons between the forward and his old Crystal Palace teammate Ian Wright as someone who “plays on the edge”.

The 26-year-old is available for selection this Saturday after serving a three-match ban for violent conduct following the final whistle against Sutton United.

"He does play on the edge, he has got to be able to channel that (in the right way),” Pemberton said.

"We've had several conversations with him about that side of it.”

Pemberton has been impressed with Fondop in his short time at the club and has tried to keep him sharp by playing him in two friendly matches while he has been suspended.

"I really like him,” Pemberton added.

"He was down at the game on Saturday (against Notts County).

"He was sweeping the dressing room after the game - he is quite an infectious character.

“He is different but I quite like that.

"He has trained really hard in the three games he has been out.

"He has two games anyway (Staveley and Ilkeston friendlies) and he is desperate to get going.”

Meanwhile, Pemberton has confirmed goalkeeper Curtis Anderson, 19, is no longer on trial with the club following the re-signing of Ross Fitzsimons.
