How Chesterfield fans can secure their season ticket for 2021/2022 campaign

Season tickets went on sale at 12noon on Tuesday, with people able to buy them initially via email and over the phone.

Phase 2, which will begin in a few days’ time, will see season ticket sales go online. Hospitality packages will also be sold during this period.

Prices are unchanged from last season.

In a statement the club said: “The money from season ticket sales will be used for prudent re-shaping of the squad to deliver savings in the long term, with funds ring-fenced for next season’s expenditure.”

Chief executive John Croot added: “Many supporters have contacted us to ask when they can show their support for the club by purchasing a season ticket so we have brought our plans forward.”

Season ticket holders from last season will be able to reserve their seats, subject to the government guidelines in place regarding seating capacity and social distancing.

The deadline for early bird discounts will be 5pm on June 30.

Meanwhile, Spireites chairman, Mike Goodwin, has thanked season ticket holders who have contacted the club in recent months to say that they do not want to be reimbursed for the money they are owed from last season.

“The level of support we have received since taking over the club has been truly remarkable and it is very much appreciated by everyone connected with the club,” Goodwin said.

“Many season ticket holders have been in touch to say that they do not want to be reimbursed for the four fixtures they missed out on last season, recognising that the situation was completely beyond our control and acknowledging the need to offer financial support at a time when no matchday income is being generated.

“Gestures like this make a huge difference as we strive to deliver success on the pitch while ensuring we are financially secure.

“On behalf of the board, I would like to offer sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed to the cause.”

Any season ticket holder who would like to request a refund for the four cancelled fixtures from last season should email [email protected] by 5pm on Friday, January 29.
