In second place are Appleby Frodingham, who maintained their 100% start to the new campaign by pulling off a fine 2-1 victory at Harworth in a Friday night game that was a credit to the league. The home side took the lead on 36 minutes through Tom Pick, but Dayle Hutson levelled ten minutes later and after several impressive saves by their ‘keeper, Patrick Shaw, Frod snatched a 77th minute wninner through Stephen McCarron.

A further three points behind in third are Clay Cross Town after their 4-1 success at Thorne Colliery, while lower down the table in eighth spot after two wins, one draw and two defeats are Dronfield Town Reserves. In their latest match, they went down 3-2 at Askern, despite goals from Charles Bradwell and Theo Wilson.
