Glapwell made a return to winning ways with a comfortable 4-0 win at Sherwood Colliery.

Glapwell started on the front foot and had early chances through Ryan Lawty whose header was cleared off the line and Daniel Russell who was twice denied by home keeper Steven Smith.

Russell then had the ball in the net but was denied by an offside flag before Glapwell finally took the lead on the half-hour when Callum Dovison tapped home after closing down the home keeper.

In to the second period, Glapwell again had chances through Lee Naughton who saw his shot blocked while Josh Clayton fired wide.

The lead was finally doubled when Luke Hemstock’s cross from the right flew into the net off the inside of the far post.

It was three two minutes later when Sam Rhodes’ cross from the right was brilliantly headed home by Daniel Russell.

The home side’s best chance fell to Rob Whitmore who blazed his shot high over the bar.

Luke Hemstock made it four before the end when he raced clear before he brilliantly dinked the ball over the advancing keeper from outside the area.
