A 7-0 thumping of AFC Bentley on Saturday moved the new club, only formed this summer, into pole position after four games of the 2016/17 season.

Josh Parfitt and Josh Thomas put the visitors two up by the break, Daniel Russell got a second half hat trick, Jake Ballinger was on target and an own goal rounded off the scoring. It follows a rich vein of form for FC Bolsover who have beaten Collingham 3-2 and Welbeck Lions 15-1 in recent weeks following their opening day defeat to Appleby Frodingham.

Elsewhere in the division, Dronfield Town Reserves are yet to play after their opening day win at Bilsthorpe.

The eagerly anticipated match at Sherwood Colliery was settled by a 71st minute goal from Selston’s Kane Hempshall. It follows wins over Mickleover RBL and Blidworth Welfare.

Pinxton were 5-3 winners at home to Teversal Reserves. Pete Stubley scored two for the hosts in the first half, with Matt Robson’s brace making it all square. Further goals came from Jimmy Adcock, Jake Vernon and Jay Cooper for Pinxton, Jordan Ingram getting Teversal’s third.

Hucknall Town’s Jamie Crawford scored a hat trick in his team’s 6-0 defeat of South Normanton.
