Barry, the nephew of England international Gareth, played in both of Swindon’s defeats by Chesterfield last term.

A right-back by trade, he began his career as a youth player with Brighton and Hove Albion but was unable to break into the first team before leaving the club in 2015.

Swindon signed him soon after and he played 38 games in his debut season as a senior professional.

Sources suggest the Spireites are considering adding him to their new-look squad.

In separate transfer news, the club have already concluded deals for two new players and are expected to announce them tomorrow.
