It is one of a number of fun initiatives devised by the club’s media department and the community trust to keep Blues supporters occupied while people are encouraged to stay at home as much as possible.

As well as live streaming classic matches, daily downloadable Spireites images, suitable for colouring in, are available on the club website, and regular online interactive quizzes are being organised.

Nick Johnson, the club’s head of media & communications, said: “The club is at the heart of the community and we will do our best to try and keep fans engaged and entertained while they are largely confined to their homes.

“Club photographer Tina Jenner is providing images that can be coloured in and we’ve received completed pictures from fans ranging from the age of seven to 61.

“We streamed our first live classic match last Sunday, which was really well received and it has now attracted nearly 3,000 views.

“With no fixtures, to fill the void at weekends we are going to live stream a match every Saturday, starting at 3pm, for the foreseeable future. This Saturday we are showing the unforgettable 4-4 League Cup draw at Liverpool in 1992. Hopefully my broadband connection at home will not let me down!”

He added: “I’m hosting a series of interactive quizzes, which started on Wednesday night with Phil Tooley providing questions for a Spireites quiz, which went down really well. We’re doing another one next Wednesday and I’m also looking to put together and host some other types of quizzes featuring questions on topics such as music, TV and trivia. There’s a virtual keypad and a live leader board so they do get very competitive!

“We have kept fans in touch with the players and management with group chats taking place via conference calls and we are exploring other innovative ideas."

Nick also praised staff from the community trust for their efforts. He said: "Keith and Alyss have been putting fun daily polls on social media, Darren has put together a video of players doing 'keepy-uppys’ and Pete has been delving into the archives to provide the match footage we are streaming.

“It has been a real team effort and the feedback we have received shows just how important the club is to many people in the community."
