Chesterfield's next three matches postponed due to positive Covid tests in Spireites camp

Chesterfield's next three matches have been postponed due to Covid.

“It will not be possible to train, play fixtures or associate with anyone else, until the club emerges from isolation on Wednesday, December 30,” the club said in a statement.

The Spireites will have to rearrange their fixtures against Dover Athletic (December 22), Solihull Moors (December 26) and King’s Lynn Town (December 28).

Chesterfield’s next match will now be on January 2 at home to Solihull Moors.

The news will be a disappointment for Town who are five games unbeaten and have good momentum under manager James Rowe.

The Blues booked their place in the FA Trophy fourth round with a penalty shootout win against Brackley Town on Saturday.

Streaming tickets already purchased for the Dover match will be carried over to the re-arranged fixture.
