The Spireites host last season’s play-off finalists in front of the BT Sport cameras tomorrow (5.20pm KO).

There is good news in that defender Laurence Maguire is back from his ankle injury after missing the last two games, but Town will assess Manny Oyeleke (knock), Gavin Gunning (broken nose) and Danny Rowe (illness).

On Oyeleke, boss Rowe said on Friday: “We are not sure about Manny at the moment. He came off with a little bit of a knock on Saturday. He has trained but we will see how he gets on today to see what sort of part he can play tomorrow.”

Gunning was forced off at half-time against Yeovil Town with a broken nose.

When asked about him, Rowe explained: "He is good. He came into non-contact (training) yesterday. We need to have a look at him today. Hopefully if everything goes okay today then he will be ready for selection tomorrow.”

Striker Rowe was not involved against Yeovil due to illness but is feeling better.

"He trained on Tuesday a little bit,” the manager told the DT. “He had a full session yesterday. Again, if everything goes okay today, which I am sure it will, he is feeling stronger, he is available for selection as well.”

Chesterfield have had a few players go down with a sickness bug in recent weeks but Rowe is confident they are over the worst of that now.

"There has not been any more lapses on that this week which is really pleasing,” he added.
