Killamarsh Athletic Juniors grabbed an unlikely point away at Creswell Black Diamond with just nine men.

Juniors, last season’s runners-up in Division One, have had a tough time of late and struggled to field a full side in some matches.

That was the case on Sunday when they made the trip to Creswell with ten men. It got worse when an injury forced saw them reduced to nine.

However, the resilience that took them to within a point of the title last season, came to the fore and on 65 minutes they went ahead.

Jack Stanley got the goal but they were denied a memorable victory when Jordan Claxton levelled for an under-par Creswell.

New Whitt are rooted to the bottom of the division after a 3-1 defeat at Tibshelf Town, John Harris, Dean Bramley and Adrian Whitmore scoring for the hosts.

In stark contrast Renishaw MW are looking good in third place as goals from Ant Lynam, Luke Hatcroft and Jason Tyler secured them a 3-1 win over Eckington Boys.

Hopflower Utd overcame Clowne Wanderers by the same margin, which saw Daryl Hancock, Reece Nuttall and Mark Vine get the winning goals.

All of the top three won in Division Two with leaders AFC Bolsover edging out Matlock Wanderers 3-2. Gary Hulland, Josh Parfitt and Daley Furnace for Bolsover, Matt Wilkinson and Steve Wood for Matlock.

Dronfield Woodhouse started with eight players at Wingerworth BMB before reinforcements arrived and went in to win 3-1.

New Whitt B are five points clear at the top of Division Three following a 5-2 victory at Hady Villa, their sixth from six starts. Dan Lock scored four, up to 14 for the season, with Alex Shaw adding goal number five. At the other end of the table Steelmelters Arms Killamarsh are still winless, strikes from Matt Shiels and Phil Barksby condemning them to a 2-1 defeat at Pilsley.

AFC North Wingfield produced a good solid performance to beat Hollingwood Athletic 4-2 thanks to goals from Andy Woolvern, John Smith, Jamie Vardy and Matt Towndrow.

AFC Spital and Ark Tavern played out a seven goal thriller which the former won 4-3. Jamie Capuano scoring twice, Mike Edwards and Tom Jenkins once. The other game in the division ended level at 2-2 Brampton Oak Sports and Clowne Wanderers Reserves sharing the spoils.

Duckmanton Community recorded a big 8-2 win at the expense of promotion chasing Newbold in Division Four. Gareth Bally, Steve Johnson and Martin Newman scored two apiece, Mark Reynolds and Sean Gallagher once.
