Chesterfield striker Curtis Morrison joins Matlock Town on loan

Young Chesterfield striker Curtis Morrison has been added to the Matlock Town squad for tomorrow's Emirates FA Cup third qualifying round home clash with Workington after joining the Gladiators on a loan deal.

Morrison, 19 on Sunday, signed his first professional contract with the Spireites in the summer after impressing as a scholar, after originally joining them two years earlier.

The lively bustling forward made his first appearance at senior level in a home pre season fixture against Sheffield Wednesday, before making his competitive debut as a second half substitute in a EFL Cup tie at Rochdale in August. His Football League debut soon followed from the bench at Shrewsbury.

Since then Morrison has been at National League North Gainsborough Trinity.
