Wilson said: “I know a lot about Millwall and I expect a lot from them.

“Millwall are a club where the fans expect commitment, drive and energy from the players.

“They’re always tough and, at times, uncompromising, and they always have players that can make a difference. This season, that’s no different.

“Maybe they’ll be coming to Chesterfield expecting to pick up three points, and we’re ready for that.

“We want to go into the break we have (due to Colchester’s involvement in the FA Cup) having gained the three points at the weekend.”

The manager also confirmed that French-born Ivorian Armand Gnanduillet has joined Leyton Orient.

He’s signed a two-and-a-half-year deal and thanked Chesterfield, via his Twitter account, for giving him his chance in England.

Wilson also confirmed no other interest has been shown in any other players.

No contract offer will be made to ex-Barnsley man Nana Boyake-Yiadom as Wilson says he can’t guarantee him game-time.

There are no fresh injury worries for Chesterfield.

Centre-half Ian Evatt is targeting the Peterborough United match in a fortnight for his return after an ankle injury which incorporated a slight tear in the tendon while broken-ankle victim Dan Jones could start to play again in a month as he builds up his fitness levels.

Reserve striker Jake Beesley has been ruled out for several weeks after breaking a metatarsal.

Millwall have lost their last five visits to Chesterfield but tomorrow sees them play at the Proact Stadium for the first time.
