The Community Trust welcomes any new participants for our multi-sport and football sessions.

On Tuesdays we offer an Inclusive multi-sport club for 5-16 year olds held in the Multi-Use Hall at The HUB, Proact Stadium. The times are 5.30pm to 6.15pm for 5-11 year olds and 6.15pm to 7pm for 12-16 year olds.

The Inclusive Multi Sport Club’s coach Bob Lathbury said: “I really enjoy working with the kids. It is nice to involve them in a variety of sports.” During the sessions the participants had the chance to try out boccia and curling. “Everybody found it fun and enjoyable”, Bob said. “It would be nice to share the experience with more kids.”

On Wednesdays, the Junior Disability Football team meets at the Sport Hall at Queen’s Park Sports Centre. Their coach Alan Slack describes the group as “enthusiastic” and he enjoys the job he has been doing for years.

He said: “It is easy to deliver sessions for such a motivated group. We can focus on every individual as a football player and build our team spirit at the same time.”

The sessions, which are open for 12-18 year olds, take place from 6pm to 6.45pm, costing only £2 to attend.
