Robbie Weir is giving no clues about who will feature in Chesterfield’s midfield today in the FA Cup clash at Bradford.
The Spireites had a solid look to them in the middle of the park last weekend against Carlisle, with Weir and Jak McCourt forming a partnership behind the likes of Joe Rowley, Matt Briggs and Andy Kellett.
Weir, currently the side’s captain and likely to start this afternoon, says he’s happy to play with anyone in the middle.
And with on-loan Sheffield United man Louis Reed coming back from suspension, Jack Lester does have options.
“It’s great, all the central midfielders at the football club are great footballers,” said Weir.
“I couldn’t say a bad word about any of them.
“You’ve got Reedy, Connor Dimaio, Sin (Jordan Sinnott) and Jak McCourt.”
Weir insists Town could put any combination together to good effect for the cup tie.
“We’re a good footballing team, with any player in the team, it could work with any one of them,” he said.
“Last Saturday it worked with me and Jak, let’s see what happens at Bradford.”
