Oldham manager David Dunn wants his side to take the game to Chesterfield when they make the trip to the Proact on Saturday.
The former Blackburn Rovers midfielder aims to maintain his side’s unbeaten away record in the league.
The Latics may be sitting just a point above the relegation zone but they have yet to taste defeat on their travels in League One.
Ahead of the meeting with Dean Saunders’ side Dunn is acutely aware of the threat posed by the Spireites.
“It’s going to be a tough game for us,” said Dunn.
“Chesterfield scored four goals on Monday night so our back four will have to be on guard.
“Novak and Ebanks-Blake are a very good competitive front two for them and they have good pace out wide but we can give them problems as well.
“We all want to play the best football we can but like anything, it’s about getting results.
“Sometimes you might have to tweak that if you’re not getting the results but certainly away from home this season we are unbeaten.
“It’s important we keep that run going and improve on our home form because that’s going to be key.”
