CHESTERFIELD now have a fight on their hands to be crowned League Two champions after losing 2-3 and promoting second placed rivals Bury - just two points behind them.
And the winner came as a late goal from Ryan Lowe.
The Spireites, who won promotion at the weekend, are hoping to end the season as league champions and a victory today would have almost certainly sealed it for them.
But, with just two league matches left to play, it’s now a battle to the finishing line.
Tom Lees headed the visitors ahead from Ben Futcher’s cross but Craig Davies equalised from the edge of the box.
David Worrall restored Bury’s advantage from close range just five minutes later but Derek Niven found Jack Lester who smashed in the equaliser.
Then with just a few minutes remaining, Bury’s top scorer Lowe smashed in the winning goal from close range to send the travelling fans delirious.
