Caolan Lavery will remain at Chesterfield for the rest of the season.
The striker joined the Spireites on loan from parent club Sheffield Wednesday on transfer deadline day.
He has gone on to feature seven times under Paul Cook, scoring three goals - two in his last two games.
His contributions have helped Chesterfield record wins over Fleetwood Town and MK Dons in recent weeks.
And the 22-year-old is delighted to have extended his stay at the Proact Stadium for the rest of the season.
He Tweeted: “Happy to have extended my loan with @ChesterfieldFC till the end of the season #Spireites”.
