Midfield man Conor Hourihane has been a big hit at Barnsley since his summer move from Plymouth Argyle.
The 23-year-old has hit the ground running with ten goals in 20 appearances this season, including four in his last five.
Barnsley’s designated penalty taker has also demonstrated an eye for the spectacular with a number of long range efforts.
He has played at the Proact Stadium before with Plymouth last season in a game which saw Chesterfield ease to a 2-0 win.
Spireites will be aware of his threat but will be buoyed of keeping him and his team-mates at bay after three consecutive clean sheets.
