Season ticket sales off to flying start

Chesterfield FC season tickets for next season went on sale this week and already the number of season tickets renewed in the first couple of days of sale is higher than in recent years.

There has also been a considerable amount of interest from new fans wanting to buy season tickets at the B2net for the first time.

CFC chief executive Chris Turner, pictured, said: “We have been pleasantly surprised and heartened by the eager response for season ticket renewals in view of the club’s obvious predicament in facing the threat of relegation.

“It’s a situation that doesn’t appear to be putting supporters off from claiming their existing seats for next season and new fans are keen to sign up as soon as possible as well.

“We have had feedback telling us that because of the enjoyable matchday experience at the B2net fans are actually reluctant to give up their existing seats in case things take off again next season.”

Earlier this year the CFC Board decided that there would be no price increases, so supporters will be able to gain admission and enjoy all the match day facilities at the B2net Stadium for season 2012-13 at the same price as this season.

Season ticket renewal letters with all the details have already been sent out to existing season ticket holders.

As usual there are early bird discounts available and season ticket holders will have until Friday, 18 May, to renew their seat at the best possible prices.

After this time a £20 deposit will reserve a seat until Monday, 18 June, before season tickets then go on general sale.

Season ticket holders and loyalty card holders can use this season’s credit on their smart cards for the purchase of season tickets for season 2012-13.

All other credit, which can be used to buy match tickets, or purchases in the concourse refreshment bars and the Club Superstore, must be spent by 31 May.

During this period, upon production of the smart card, there is also an additional money-saving benefit of ten per cent discount on merchandise purchased in the Club Superstore. excluding existing offers and True Blue Travel.
