Dean Morgan has joined League Two club Oxford United on an emergency month’s loan.
The Chesterfield FC player hit the headlines recently when his penalty saw the Spireites defeat promotion-seeking neighbours Sheffield Wednesday 1-0, a result which ultimately cost Owls then-manager Gary Megson his job.
Morgan, 28, has taken part in 21 games this season and scored four goals.
Morgan, who can play wide on the left or up front, joined Chesterfield on a free transfer 18 months ago from MK Dons.
He began his professional career with Colchester and has played for Reading, Luton, Southend, Crewe, Leyton Orient, Grays and Aldershot.
He is expected to be included in Oxford’s squad this weekend for their match in Yorkshire against Bradford City.
