The Mayor and Mayoress of Chesterfield, Cllr Peter Barr and Mrs Jean Barr cut the ribbon at Chesterfield FC’s first Open Day at the B2net Stadium.
They will be accompanied by the town’s Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress, Cllr Donald Parsons and Mrs Parsons.
The event, on Sunday, July 31, will include many attractions for Spireites fans to enjoy, with side shows, music, demonstrations, hands-on activities, competitions, children’s events and refreshments - including traditional roast Sunday lunch if booked in advance.
All the players will be in attendance, there will be tours of the dressing rooms, and fans can have their photos taken with the League Two Trophy.
There will be special performances by Shirebrook MW Brass Band, demonstrations by Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, and special CFC Heritage Exhibition.
Chesterfield FC chief executive Carol Wilby said: “We are delighted that the Mayor and Mayoress of Chesterfield will be officially opening our first ever Open Day at the B2net and we hope they, and everyone who attends, will have a thoroughly enjoyable time.
“Over the years the open days held by the football club have been very popular with supporters and we think that this year we have attractions at our new stadium that should appeal to everyone.”
There is free admission to the event, which runs from 11am to 3pm, with on-site car parking just £1.
