Chesterfield 1, Rochdale 1
Veteran striker Jack Lester got Chesterfield out of jail with an equalising goal in the third minute of time added on at the end.
The Spireites won a late corner against Rochdale and Craig Westcarr’s flag kick was glanced in at the near post by substitute Lester to level the game.
There were no goals at half time after two efforts by Spireites frontman Jordan Bowery had both been cleared off the line by Rochdale defender Ryan Edwards.
The visitors took the lead with a spectacular goal in the 49th minute when Andrew Tutte beat keeper Tommy Lee with a powerful shot from 30 yards.
And it looked as if Rochdale would escape with the points, until ace marksman Lester earned John Sheridan’s men a share of the spoils with a lovely header.
