Hometown boy Diego De Girolamo set for Spireites trial
The 20-year-old had his contract at Sheffield United terminated last Friday.
A move to Chesterfield would reunite him with Danny Wilson, who was a fan of the forward during his reign as Blades boss.

Hide AdIt was Wilson who handed De Girolamo his Football League debut, as a substitute, in 2013.
And it’s Wilson the youngster must impress next week.
A source close to the player said: “He’s going on trial at Chesterfield on Monday.
“Danny knows him, Chris Morgan knows him.
“It’s a couple of years since Danny saw him and he wants to see where he’s at now, but hopefully he can impress.”
A couple of Championship clubs and two clubs in League Two are said to be monitoring the former Italian Under 20 international.
But the Spireites are thought to be the preferred destination for the player to rejuvenate his career.
De Girolamo spent time with York and Northampton on loan during his Bramall Lane stay.
