Chesterfield FC’s championship winning management team, consisting of manager John Sheridan, assistant Tommy Wright and first team Coach Mark Crossley, have all put pen to paper on new four-year deals with the Spireites keeping them at the B2net Stadium until the end of 2014-15 campaign.
The management trio marginally missed out on a play-off position in their first season in charge of the club, but more than made up for it by picking up the League’s most treasured silverware piece the following season after one of the club’s most successful seasons, both on and off the pitch.
Sheridan, the former Oldham Athletic manager, has never seen any of his sides finish a season’s campaign lower than eighth position in the league as he now prepares his League Two champions for life in League One.
Sheridan was more than pleased to commit his future to Chesterfield: “It’s very pleasing to get the contract finally signed. The most important thing about a team is trust and that’s what myself, Tommy and Mark all have for each other.
“We now aim to continue our success into next season and will be aiming for exactly the same.”
