Kieran Djilali looks set to be included in Chesterfield FC’s squad for their clash at Bury.
Crystal Palace winger Djilali (20) is re-joining the League Two leaders, initially on a month’s emergency loan until March 19.
It will be Djilali’s second loan spell with Chesterfield as he made eight appearances for the Blues last season and scored his first senior goal.
Manager John Sheridan was pleased to have boosted his playing options.
He said: “We have continued to monitor Kieran’s progress at Crystal Palace and are pleased he is currently available to supplement the squad at a time when we have been hit by some injuries.”
Djilali was also relishing the prospect of a return to first-team action.
He said: “I really enjoyed my previous time with Chesterfield and had no hesitation in accepting this chance to return for a further loan spell.”
It is expected that the paperwork on the loan deal will be completed in time for the League Two match at Gigg Lane.
Bury are handily placed in the play-off frame while Chesterfield will be looking for an upturn in fortunes.
Although they top the table, Sheridan’s men have taken just four points from their last five games, drawing four on the bounce before losing 1-0 at Burton Albion on Saturday.
