Spireites loanee Liam Ridehalgh has likened new manager Paul Cook’s enthusiasm to that of Swindon Town boss Paulo Di Canio.
The 21-year-old spent three months under the illustrious Italian’s tutorage during a loan spell with the Robins last year.
He experienced firsthand how the hard yards on the training ground were rewarded with points on the pitch.
And the defender, on loan from Huddersfield Town, believes Cook’s vision will help Chesterfield climb the division.
He said: “He has a very positive manner about him and is always encouraging. I worked with Paulo (Di Canio) and he was very enthusiastic and I think (Cook) has got the same kind of enthusiasm about him too.”
