The Spireites Easter trip to Yeovil Town has been rearranged.

Scheduled for Easter Saturday at Huish Park, it has been brought forward 24 hours to 3pm on Good Friday, April 3.

Tickets for Spireites home match against Premier League Aston Villa are now on sale. Scheduled for 7.45pm on Wednesday July 30, the pre-season game will cost £15 for adults and £7 for concessions and juniors.

Chesterfield target John-Joe O’Toole, the former Blade, has signed a three year deal at League Two Northampton Town. The ex-Bristol Rovers midfielder, who bagged 15 goals last season, had been tracked by Paul Cook as he looked to add height to his engine-room.

Former Chesterfield centre half Neal Trotman, who followed John Sheridan to Plymouth Argyle, is on trial at Cheltenham Town, who’ve also signed former Spireites keeper Trevor Carson.

One time loan winger Brennan Dickenson, borrowed from Brighton & Hove Albion at the start of Cook’s tenure at the Proact Stadium, has joined Gillingham on a two-year deal.

Another former loanee, Alex Henshall, has signed for Ipswich Town for two years after leaving Manchester City.
